Christmas Rummage sale
What a fantastic result from our Christmas rummage sale at Number 43! The result of many days of sorting, arranging and cooking the sale proved to be a great success. Much mulled wine was drunk, which helped with both the book sales and consumption of the scrummy food on offer. Well done Jane for arranging the tombola (everyone got a prize) and to everyone in the team who contributed their time energy and skills to make it all a success. Over 1000 euros was raised to help animals in need be a bit more comfortable over Christmas.
WHAT WE DO
Phoenix is a Loi 1901 (non-profit making) Association. It is based in the Dordogne and is run by volunteers. We take in unwanted dogs, and at risk puppies and kittens, placing them with foster families who care for them ready for adoption.
HISTORY
Rik and Sheelagh Johnson founded Phoenix Association in 2001.
PHOENIX TODAY
Phoenix are a strong team and all volunteers. We can now offer much more. In addition to fostering and re-homing animals in need, we also act as an intermediary between local animal shelters and members of the public wishing to adopt from them. We campaign for the systematic sterilisation of all animals offered for adoption by French shelters.
